Award-winning Dublin theatre company seek older singers / performers

BROKENTALKERS SEEK PERFORMERS!

AWARD-WINNING DUBLIN THEATRE COMPANY SEEK OLDER SINGERS / PERFORMERS TO TAKE PART IN LATEST PRODUCTION

Internationally renowned Dublin based theatre company and Project Catalyst artists Brokentalkers (Silver Stars, The Blue Boy, Have I No Mouth) are looking for a number of older performers, aged 65 years and over to collaborate on the company’s latest theatre production.

The production will explore older people’s attitudes to the future through song, movement and spoken word. Like other Brokentalkers production the participants will contribute to the creation of the piece through writing exercise that tap into their own creativity and personal histories.

The production will involve live music and singing so we are looking for PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS with the ability to HOLD A TUNE and who have an interest in performing on stage in a collaborative theatre project.

This is a paid opportunity.

The initial development stage of the project will take place in Dublin throughout September on a part time basis with an informal presentation of the work in development as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival on the 4th and 5th of October 2013. It is envisaged that the finished production will premiere in 2014.

Workshop auditions will take place on Tuesday, 27 August from 11am to 1pm in Project Arts Centre, 39 East Essex Street, Dublin 2.
