{2jtab: Show Information} TINY PLAYS FOR IRELAND 2

"Sometimes I think I'm down there digging."

Following the sell-out run of Tiny Plays for Ireland in 2012, Fishamble returns with a new production of 25 more tiny plays in 2013. Playwrights include Maeve Binchy, Colum McCann, Pauline McLynn, Tom Swift, and members of the public chosen from over 1,700 submissions.

This highly theatrical production, staged in-the-round, offers vivid glimpses of contemporary Ireland as seen through a range of perspectives. A cast of five actors play over 50 roles in this production which is accompanied by a programme of debates and discussions, based on the themes and issues explored.

Supported by the Irish Times and the Irish Copyright Licensing Agency.

Fishamble is funded by the Arts Council and Dublin City Council.

"A theatrical mosaic ... fascinating." The Guardian

"Extraordinary ... it's what theatre should be about." Sunday Independent

"Delightful, moving and adept ... engages and unites an audience." Irish Theatre Magazine

This will be an opportunity to meet some of the writers and gain insight into where there plays came from, March 13 and 27 at 6.30pm and March 23 at 5pm.

Inspired to write your own Tiny Play? Fishamble is offering a free workshop, exclusive to audience members, with Literary Manager Gavin Kostick, to help you create your own Tiny Play.
