{2jtab: Show Information}FORMS OF IMAGINING #2 BOOK LAUNCH

Forms of Imagining #2 will be launched at the opening of our new exhibition Conjuring for Beginners on Tuesday 3 July, you are welcome to join us for the event from 6-8pm.
We are proud to present Forms of Imagining #2 - the second in a series of published exhibition histories based on Project Arts Centre’s visual arts programme.

It includes writing around a number of exhibitions and events that took place in 2008. The texts and images both document and reinterpret these activities, shaping their place in the art historical timeline, but also presenting a context for their re-imagination in the present, and preserving them as records for the future.

Forms of Imaging 2 available from the Bookshop at Project Arts Centre

Essays include exhibition texts by curator Tessa Giblin, A Vision of Blind Friends by Tim Stott, Partisans by Fred Dewey, The Spectre and the Sphere by Declan Long, The Dodo Held the Door for Me by Jessica Foley, The Flight of the Dodo by Jonathan Carroll, In the Dark – Brian Dillon, Declan Long and recipes by Toby Dennett, text on the artworks featured in The PreHistory of the Crisis by Curt Riegelnegg, Monument to Another Man’s Fatherland by Lonnie van Brummelen & Siebren de Haan, and Aesthetics for Moss Piglets, or Art Needs to Be Weird because the World is Weird by Francis Halsall.

Project Press is the publishing arm of Project Arts Centre, and in recent years has published a number of artist or exhibition-centered books, such as How to Use Fool’s Gold (co-published with Ikon Gallery, Birmingham and Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver), 2012; Forms of Imagining #1, 2010; No More Drama, Peter Crawley & Willie White (ed.) 2009; Permaculture, Grant Watson and Sarah Pierce (ed.) 2008; and Théâtre de Poche, vol 1, Aurélien Froment, 2007.

Forms of Imagining #2 is currently on sale on our website and from our bookshop priced at €8. The publication will be available to purchase for a special launch price of €5 on 3 July.
